Galileo: one of the most successful Czech musicals with a stellar cast!

In Czech only (with no subtitles)

An exciting story full of twists and turns, in which the audience will find everything - love, passion, intrigue, hatred, as well as the romantic struggle of an individual against society. In addition, the musical amazes with its unconventional scenography and period costumes.

It is already clear from this that the musical Galileo will not be in the slightest a dry biography of a famous scientist, known from textbooks, but a narrative spectacle full of unexpected plot twists, accessible and comprehensible to the widest public. There is probably no adult to whom the name Galileo Galilei does not mean something, at least his statement "albeit it does move". He stated the law of inertia even before Newton, in the field of mechanics he is credited with the correct description of free fall, the classical principle of relativity and movement on an inclined plane.

Galileo Galilei was a Tuscan astronomer, philosopher and physicist closely associated with the scientific revolution. He was at the birth of discoveries and inventions such as the telescope, the thermometer, improvements to the microscope, the geometric and military compass, and even the ballpoint pen. His conflict with the Roman Catholic Church is taken as the most significant example of the initial conflict between religion and free thought, especially science in Western society.
